Cycling is known to be healthy, environmentally friendly and cheap. It also offers great flexibility in traffic, allows you to avoid traffic jams easily and find free parking everywhere. Berlin is a city of bicycles, or at least that is what the statistics show. 71 percent of all households own at least one bicycle and only 45 percent own a car. Unfortunately , cycling in Berlin has become less attractive in recent years, for a variety of reasons, such as the number of thefts, inconsiderate drivers and narrow cycle paths. Berlin once stood for the high number of cyclists, as well as for its alternative nature and modernity.
The start-up company Reparadius aims to help Berlin become a city of bicycles again, with people using repaired bikes and plenty of space on the streets. In the spirit of sustainability, we also want to help ensure that the many bikes in need of repair in basements and garages can be seen on Berlin's streets again.
We also offer a quick and easy way to find a bicycle repair shop on www.reparadius.de , making cycling much easier. We are a great help in the jungle of bicycle repair shops, especially for large cities such as Berlin.
We are pleased that the presence of cyclists and the transport transition in Berlin are currently coming to the fore again. In certain Berlin districts, such as Reinickendorf or Wedding, people have pointed out the precarious situation of cyclists during the " Pop-Up Cycle Lanes Action Day " and symbolically created cycle paths for themselves.
The demonstrations have already had their first effects. The Berlin government announced that it would improve the bike paths and rethink overall mobility.
That would be very much in keeping with the times and we want to positively support this development with a better way to find a bicycle repair shop and make our contribution to it.
