The website www.fahrrad-tour.de offers free cycle route descriptions for you to follow yourself. All of the cycle routes described have been ridden by the Karl Schuwerk team themselves and documented in words and pictures. You will find valuable tips for your cycle tour there, and in some cases you can download the GPX tracks.
You will also find multi-day tours that include accommodation options along the cycle path. If you don't feel confident about organizing the cycle tour yourself, you can find information on how to contact the right organizer on the page.
To give you a feeling of which cycle paths are described, here is an example extract:
ISARQUELLE CYCLE PATH
The source of the Isar is above Scharnitz, about 16 km from Mittenwald, and can be included in the cycle tour on the Isar cycle path. You can either come by bike or travel by train to Scharnitz or Mittenwald. From Mittenwald, cycle to the right of the Isar along a forest area to Scharnitz. Clearly signposted, you cross the Isar before Scharnitz and cycle to the left into the Isar valley. At first you follow the river quite flatly. Then the cycle path becomes significantly steeper. It crosses a hill to overcome a narrow section in the valley, then it becomes flatter. Fantastic views of the valley can be seen from above. Downhill, you reach the valley floor again on forest roads. The route now continues with a pleasant gradient of 3 - 4%. You pass feeding places for wild animals and then follow the clear Isar. Every now and then a side valley leads towards the Karwendel mountains. You pass an area with stacked stones. There you will often see people in yoga poses, looking within themselves and absorbing the force fields. For others, experiencing this extremely impressive landscape is almost like a prayer. You will soon reach the source of the Isar, where the confluence of several streams forms the Isar from this point onwards.
